Date la natura multidisciplinare caratterizzante il BIM e l’eterogeneità degli stakeholders coinvolti nello sviluppo di un’opera, si intuisce come la metodologia BIM non sia applicabile senza la collaborazione di tutte le parti coinvolte e, quindi, senza un sistema digitale che consenta l’interazione tra queste ultime. L’interoperabilità in un processo BIM si basa dunque sulla possibilità di utilizzare codici di calcolo derivanti da diverse software houses, garantendo la trasversalità dei modelli informativi, preservandone completezza e modificabilità dei dati. Nel panorama dei software utilizzabili, si può attualmente constatare in Europa Continentale e nel nord Europa un crescente utilizzo di Trimble Novapoint, che utilizza codici di calcolo più recenti rispetto ad altri competitor, unitamente a Trimble Quadri per la condivisione e la fruibilità delle informazioni. Con lo scopo di evidenziare limiti e vantaggi derivanti dall’uso di Novapoint e Quadri, il presente articolo descrive lo sviluppo del modello BIM del tronco ferroviario “Variante Villammare”, previsto dallo studio di fattibilità di Italferr S.p.A., nella tratta Ogliastro - Sapri. Per la valutazione in termini di interoperabilità, l’analisi di tale codice è stata eseguita in comparazione con il più noto Open Rail Designer (Bentley BIM Authoring).

Given the multidisciplinary nature characterizing BIM and the heterogeneity of the stakeholders involved in the development of a facility project, the BIM methodology cannot be applied without the collaboration of all the parties involved and without a digital system that allows the interaction between all the subjects. The interoperability in a BIM process is therefore based on the use of calculation codes deriving from different software houses, guaranteeing the transversality of the information models, preserving completeness and modifiable data. In the panorama of software that can be used, can currently be seen in Continental Europe and Northern Europe a growing use of Trimble Novapoint which uses more recent calculation codes compared to other competitors, together with Trimble Quadri for the sharing and usability of information. With the aim of highlighting the limits and advantages deriving from the use of Novapoint e Quadri, this article describes the development of the BIM model of the “Variante Villammare” railway section, foreseen by the feasibility study of Italferr S.p.A. in the Ogliastro - Sapri section. For the evaluation in terms of interoperability, the analysis of this code was performed in comparison with the more well-known Open Rail Designer (Bentley BIM Authoring).
