The presented study focuses on the changes in the structure of the worsted fabrics in their enrichment under the conventional finishing technologies. The main structural changes of the worsted fabrics occur during the removal of the tissue from the loom and then the laundry and thermal fixation of the fabric. These core operations by moisture - heat treatment reveal the main deformations of the warp and weft threads. The following finishing operations focus on removing the internal stresses in the fibres and the linkages between the weaving threads. They do not affect so much on the transverse dimensions and the surface mass of the fabric. The purpose of these operations is to balance the construction and flatten the surface of the woven fabric.
